I am a high school graduate, I intend on becoming a software designer, web designer, or possibly a game designer. If none of those go through, I hope to become a surrealistic artist. I have self-taught myself just about everything I know about computers, mostly learning through trial and error, which is the only way to ever learn, rather than have people spoon-feeding it to others.
I'm an interesting individual, very opinionated in many subjects, open-minded, I've got a great personality, although I'm not a big talker. Since I'm a programmer, I try to do everything in the most logical and efficient way possible, so I like to plan ahead. I like staying up-to-date in the technological world, in terms of phones, software, and hardware as well. I have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, and I don't think I'll ever know as much as I'd like to by the time I'm old and retired.
I'm interested in anything involving making my "brain juices" flow. I like art in general, as well as art that confuses the mind, fractals, "psychadelic art", etc. Besides art, I enjoy puzzles, and thinking games. After solving these things myself, I try to develop programs that will solve it in a fraction of how fast I did it myself. I support freedom on the internet, but I don't encourage it, because it IS illegal depending on what it is you download.
Below is a list of my ever-growing experience with technology. Below that, is a digital portfolio of the works I've done in my Multimedia/Info Management class that I took my Senior year in North Arlington High School.
Experience: (I have never went to any classes for these programming languages, I am self-taught, and fluent.)
Computer programming, and web programming/design in:
Visual Basic
HTML
CSS (although it's not a strongpoint)
Javascript
jQuery (a more used library of javascript)
PHP
Python
SQL
I learn new languages very quickly.
All of Microsoft Office, Flash ActionScript
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash
Flexible in terms of operating systems, All Windows, and Linux
This was a quickly done project, an animated greeting card. In mine, it's from a prisoner who admits his innocence. There's also a mathematically-created snowfall in the EXE version, which is above. -----
Audio Assignment:
Halloween Podcast
For this project, we had to do a spooky poem with a background of spooky music. I mixed drum files, and a ghost-town-like background sound, then I put a reverb on my voice as if it was being read in a large, empty room. -----
Privacy Assignment: Glogster!
This assignment was to show just how unsafe everyday social activities can become, from internet browsers, to social networks, to smart/cell phones. -----
There's a large amount of "spam" and "hoaxes" on the internet to steal money or scare you away from using your technology. This is an example, by putting a monster in our own town. -----
This is a really cool and simplistic way to show data and information. We all showed our homelands and countries of origin using a Prezi. -----
Voki:
Ourselves!
Voki's are essentially avatars, that can talk and show emotions. It's a simple, yet sometimes useful tool to attract attention, while still having a possibly educational value. -----
Public Service Announcements
(look in my folder, it's much too large to upload)
This was a very fun project, where we were to make a public service announcement and convey a message to the viewers. Mine: Pirating is illegal and you CAN be found by the FBI. (or Lil' Wayne.) -----
This was a fun comic strip maker. In mine, I show the unfortunate events that can take place in any high school on just about any given day.
Animoto
Although it took forever, I got this done. It's a simple slideshow of a subject of our choice, with a nice background music of our choosing as well. Sometimes it's pulling teeth to get me to do things I'm not good at.
This was our last project (obviously) in our multimedia class, we had a list of choices to get our topic from, and I chose the history of (Heavy) Metal and its genealogy.
